5th Virginia Volunteer Infantry, Company E, "Augusta Greys"

"Tell Brother, if he has to go in service, that if he is in active field service, all he needs is..."

So you're looking to become a member of the 5th?

Here are some things that you should know about our policies for membership

The Beginning

You don't have to be a history expert to reenact. In fact, for many, reenacting is only the beginning of thier education.  The only prerequisite is your desire tobe involved.

Any male interested, may present himself for membership upon request to any member of the company.  At this point, probationary membership is extended.

Probationary Period

The probationary period of six months and six events allows the canidate to become accustomed to the hobby and get aquainted with other members. This period must include 4 weekend events.  At the end of the probationary period, the candidate's membership may be voted upon.

Above all, you must have a desire to live-out the history you love

If it's that indescribable feeling you get when hundreds of rifles go off at once all around you,  or that feeling of being back in time--over one hundred years ago. If it's the love you have for the history of the time, or it's the honor and duty that you feel for these men so that they their memories can continue to live through you, ANSWER THE CALL TO ARMS.

If you have the heart, the love, and the commitment--we have a place in the rank and file.
If you think that reenacting is for you, leave a comment in our guest book or email us for more info
